Sept 14th/15th - NW Section of Portland and 9/15 Salem

I liked the NW section of Portland - the Nob Hill section, the more upscale section (of course I would like).  Its just a different feel than the rest of Portland which I was not crazy about.

I loved Washington Park, and last nite went thru the Rose Garden and this morning took a 2 hour hike, there were all these hiking trails that overlapped and so we went on about 5 different hikes and then took the one that was 26 miles long but only did a few miles on it.  Then went to the Holocaust Memorial place which was a beautiful tribute.  Washington Park is 26 miles surrounding all over Portland.  It was great.  The hikes were in the Hoyt Arboretum..so there were all these signs of what the plant or tree was.

Pittman House - gorgeous house, huge, all the rooms had those window, the showers were incredible,  I could live there..it was built around 1940 and had all the new, "high tech" stuff.  I was able to push a few buttons on the intercom.  Fun

The Dick Clark rose - no two roses are suppose to be alike!
It started raining today just sprinkling and its suppose to rain harder over the next few days, so am in Salem.

My goal is to head out to California after Cottage Grove, OR and stop off at the Cliffs Resort in Pismo Beach and hang out a couple of days and get a massage or two.  Then come on home and I could be home next week. Then who knows?  Maybe some skiing in a few months or so?  Possibilities are wide open.  How fun to have the possiblities!
