Sept 4th and 5th - Washington and Astoria, OR

went into Washington and this was a park featuring military baracades and such from 1890 to WWII

another view...the ocean is blue part

not a great picture - but took a small hike to this light house...

this was a room in one of the famous Victorian House Musuem - Flavel House - this picture is actually for my niece Laura (remind you of anything L.B.?)

this was the bathtub, while they had running water and hot and cold, I kept thinking "maybe in a past life I had to take a bath in one of these and thats why I hate baths in this life"  This is in Astoria

the front of the Flavel House..the ground were wonderful too...not to big

Astoria has a lot of hills - like San Francisco, so wanted to take a view shot

that bridge goes over to Washington - IIwaco and Long Beach, WA is where I visited

view shot with Taos

another view shot - from the Astoria Column..the Column picture did not turn out...but while interesting, no big deal

lot of view shots....

Guess who

This is the Goonie House - from the movie The Goonies

Sea Lions

Am now in a sleepy coast town called Seaside and spending a couple of days to just walk around and hang out at the beach before I go into Portland.  Little nervous about going into a big town, my how my thoughts have changed.  It really is different to be in a small town, you can negotiate and get around, so Portland will be different, but I keep hearing wonderful things about Portland.

A thought: what if this year is to check off from my bucket list: "live somewhere else besides LA?" and taking this year to live different places even for a short time???

Just keeping open to all possibilities.  Definitely have seen the growth in me that this journey has been about even in the face of adversity, and I am so grateful and getting more secure that the changes are here to stay, they are me now.
